The Jaipur Food Walk: Heritage Flavours and Culinary Traditions (Nov 27–30 & Dec 3–4, 2025)
Discover Jaipur’s culinary soul on an immersive guided trail led by a Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2025 honoree and a former Pusa Krishi MoAFW communications consultant. This walk takes you beyond tourist favourites and into the living kitchens of the Pink City, its hidden alleys and halwais and flavour keepers. Savour the city’s iconic vegetarian delicacies, such as piping hot kachori, ghevar, and fresh snacks made before your eyes, while learning how Jaipur’s culinary identity has evolved through community, culture, and craft.
For those who love exploring bold flavours, the non-veg trail opens the doors to Jaipur’s lesser-known meat traditions, including hand-fried chicken, slow-cooked nihari, and dishes prepared by artisans who have preserved their recipes for decades. Blending food, storytelling, and sustainability, this experience reveals how mindful eating and local traditions shape the future of food in Rajasthan.
What to Expect
On this guided walk, you will explore Jaipur’s Old City with an award-winning food researcher while tasting both classic vegetarian and rare non-vegetarian dishes. You will meet halwais, grocers, and culinary artisans who have kept the city’s recipes alive for generations, and hear stories that reveal how food, culture, and sustainability intertwine in everyday life. The culinary experience brings together flavours, history, and local traditions to give you an authentic understanding of Jaipur’s rich culinary heritage.
